Welcome to Conty Translations

I'm a fan translator of Japanese ero products (hentai) into English. After doing a couple of unofficial fan translations of video games (SHRIFT and the last two Three Charms games), I decided to branch out into doing them for DLsite products. I didn't make this ci-en to set up paid plans or anything, I just wanted an English-language blog for to talk about what I've translated and give my own personal reviews so people know what they're getting.

About me

I'm a native speaker of English who started learning Japanese from home many years ago after falling in love with the language. And funny as it sounds, being able to bring the world of hentai to an English-speaking audience was actually one of the reasons I started learning Japanese in the first place. Though I'm not living in Japan now, I spent a very enjoyable year living there.

What do you translate?

My main focus is on ASMR since image editing isn't my specialty, and manga can have a lot of fiddliness when it comes to cleaning up pages.

What genres do you translate?

I've been primarily translating futa on male since that's something I'm into. I occasionally dip into other things I like such as monstergirls. As for what I choose to translate, it's mostly what I personally find interesting or appealing.

Do you take requests?

I'm not totally averse to translating something on request, but generally I prefer to translate something I find interesting on a personal level.

How often do put out a new translation?

It can vary quite a bit. Sometimes life gets in the way and it can take a while, other times I have a lot of free time and energy and I can get through a translation relatively quickly.
